Site publisher

The site faredufenua.fr is published on a personal basis by the founder of the Fare du Fenua project.

The Fare du Fenua project is in a pre-launch phase. The final legal structure (EURL, SARL, or equivalent) will be specified when the platform commercially launches, in compliance with Polynesian regulations applicable to digital activities and alternative tourist accommodation.

Nature of the site

Fare du Fenua is a directory of guesthouses and alternative accommodations in French Polynesia. The platform takes no commission on stays, collects no payment on behalf of hosts, and does not intervene in the commercial relationship between travelers and hosts. Contact is made via WhatsApp or phone, directly with the host.

The site is in a launch phase. Listings displayed with a « Coming soon » tag are indicative and represent the target geographic coverage of the network.

Listings awaiting validation

Some listings are created by the Fare du Fenua team using public information (business name, region, accommodation type, generic photos of the region) in order to provide fast territorial coverage. These listings are marked with an « Awaiting validation » badge and contain no personal contact details (phone, WhatsApp, email) of the host until the host has confirmed participation.

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) on the protection of personal data, every host has a right of access, rectification, objection, and deletion regarding the listing that represents them. Requests should be sent to contact@faredufenua.fr and are processed within 48 business hours.

Booking requests addressed to a pending listing are collected by the Fare du Fenua team and then forwarded to the host within 24 hours, without disclosing the host's contact details until the listing has been validated.

Ratings and reviews

For some listings, Fare du Fenua displays an aggregated average rating (for example 4.87 / 5) along with the total number of reviews published, and a link pointing to the original public listing (Airbnb or Booking.com). This information is factual, public data verifiable on the source page.

The content of individual reviews is not reproduced on Fare du Fenua: neither the text nor the identity of the authors. To read detailed reviews, visitors are invited to consult the source platform directly via the link provided. This approach respects the copyright of travelers (Polynesian Law No. 36 of 1994) and the terms of service of third-party platforms.

The mentions « Airbnb » and « Booking.com » are used on a purely nominative and informational basis to identify the source of the public rating or to link to the official listing. Fare du Fenua is neither affiliated with, nor a partner of, nor sponsored by these platforms. No logo or distinctive sign of these brands is reproduced on the site.

Intellectual property

The texts, visual identity, and Fare du Fenua brand assets are the property of the publisher. Photographs of the homes belong to their respective hosts and are published with their consent.

Personal data and cookies

The site collects no personal data without the user's knowledge. No audience-measurement or third-party tracking cookies are set. A technical cookie (light/dark theme preference) may be stored locally in the browser.
